Conceptualizing Transition: Actors, Patterns and Span, Ecole française d’Athènes & Zoom, May 20, 2022
“Conceptualizing Transition: Actors, Patterns and Span” is the inaugural event of a five-year research program entitled From Byzantium to the Ottoman World in South-Eastern Europe (BYOSE), headed by Dr. Olivier Delouis (CNRS – Maison française d’Oxford) and Dr. Lilyana Yordanova (Ecole française d’Athènes).
The program aims to promote and assess the key period of the 14th-16th centuries from a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspective. A series of thematic workshops shall provide the setting for Byzantinists, Slavists, Ottomanists, and scholars working on the Medieval and Modern period to meet and discuss innovative approaches and little-known material.
Advance registration required for Zoom participation.
