Arabs and Arabia in Byzantine Literary Sources: People, Places, Mentalities, Zoom & National Hellenic Research Foundation, October 8–9, 2021
The workshop is organized within the framework of the ongoing joint Project: “Byzantine literary sources for the history and civilization of Arabs and Arabia (7th-12th c.)” implemented by the Institute of Historical Research (NHRF) and the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, and aims to discuss the latest developments in the research of Byzantine-Arab relations with particular focus on the fields of administration, diplomacy, foreign relations, commercial exchange, science, material culture and warfare. It will take place in hybrid form (in-person and via streaming).
