The Department of Religion at Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, visiting faculty member in Early Christianity for the 2017-2018 academic year. The successful candidate will teach a total of five courses over the course of the year in the field of Late Ancient Christianity as well as thematic courses related to the candidate’s research and teaching interests.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of strong teaching at the undergraduate level and experience mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion. Evidence of serious commitment and teaching excellence on the undergraduate level is vitally important. Ph.D. is preferred.
