Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a Two-Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Medieval History position in the History Department beginning in July 2017. The successful candidate will teach a survey of medieval history and upper-level courses in his/her area of expertise. The teaching expectation is five courses per year.  

The History Department is comprised of a dozen historians with diverse thematic and geographic specializations who value both excellence in undergraduate education and high quality research. Candidates should have a record of excellent teaching and a Ph.D. or be near completion by the beginning of the appointment.
