The Byzantine Court on the Road: Manifestations of Power on the Move, lecture by Claudia Rapp (University of Vienna), Boğaziçi University, March 12, 2019, 5:00 pm

The Byzantine Studies Research Center at Boğaziçi University presents The Second A. W. Mellon Byzantine Studies Lecture to be given by Prof. Claudia Rapp from the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, University of Vienna. The lecture, entitled “The Byzantine Court on the Road: Manifestations of Power on the Move,” will be held at the Rectorate Conference Hall, Boğaziçi University, on 12 March 2019, at 5:00 PM.

Claudia Rapp is Professor of Byzantine Studies at the University of Vienna. She is the Director of the Division of Byzantine Research within the Institute for Medieval Research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on the social and cultural history of Late Antiquity and Byzantium.
