The Department of the Classics at Harvard University seeks to appoint a tenure-track (assistant or associate) professor in Ancient History. Applications are invited from candidates specializing in any aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world from the Bronze Age to Late Antiquity. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2022. 

The tenure-track professor will be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will be expected to participate fully in the activities of the Department of the Classics, the Ancient Studies program, and Harvard’s broader community of scholars of the ancient world.
