The Department of Classics at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment to begin in August 2018. Our new colleague will teach courses in the Greek and Latin languages, as well as courses on the history of ancient Greece and Rome. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated research in the social and/or cultural history of the ancient world, and to those with an interest in and ability to contribute to one or more of following interdisciplinary programs: Africana Studies; Asian Studies; Environmental Studies; Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies; International Studies; Latin American & Latino Studies; Middle Eastern Studies; and Peace & Conflict Studies. Experience collaborating with undergraduates on research will be considered an asset.
