Utah State University, Caine College of the Arts seeks a Temporary Assistant Professor in Art History to teach a 3/3 load. This is a 9-month temporary appointment for the 2018-19 academic year, beginning August 13, 2018. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in Art History and experience in teaching at the university level. Salary is commensurate with experience. A generous benefits package is offered.
The candidate will teach six sections of Art History; three in the fall and three in the spring. She/he will be expected to also mentor and work with undergraduate students.
The Department of Art + Design is comprised of 20 full-time faculty plus adjuncts, 7 support and technical staff, 16 graduate students, and 436 undergraduates. The department offers BFA degrees in Ceramics, Graphic Design, Art Education, Printmaking, Photography, Painting & Drawing, Sculpture, a BID in Interior Design, BA in Art and Art History, as well as a BS in Art; and MFA degrees as well. The BFA mission is to prepare students for graduate school or professional careers as artists and designers.
