Thanks to a generous grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, Smarthistory is seeking two graduate students in art history or a related field to help us with a website “refresh” during summer 2018. There are two primary tasks we need help with: writing brief excerpts and creating thumbnails for Smarthistory’s 1800~ pages. Additional work, including writing titles and proofreading will be required. Strong writing skills and experience with WordPress or a similar content management system are required.
These two grant-funded positions are temporary and part-time. The graduate students filling these positions will work as independent contractors and will be paid at a rate of $40 per hour. Hours are flexible, and the work will be done remotely. We expect the work to take approximately 200 hours (for each position) during July and August 2018.
