Seven Centuries Since the Death of Holy King Milutin, St. Prohor of Pčinja Monastery, Serbia, September 24–25, 2021

Following the successfully accomplished International scientific conference "St. Prohor of Pčinja ­950 years among the Serbian people" on the occasion of 950 years since the founding of the monastery, and 700 years since its restoration by the Serbian King Milutin, in 2020 in the St. Prohor of Pčinja monastery - under the organization of the Serbian Orthodox Bishopric of Vranje and University of Belgrade ­- Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Philosophy ­- University of Niš, and the Faculty of Education in Vranje ­- University of Niš, the Orthodox Bishopric of Vranje, Chair and Seminar for Byzantine Studies ­- University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy and The Center for Byzantine and Slavic Studies ­- University of Niš are pleased to invite you to participate at the International scientific conference "Seven Centuries Since the Death of Holy King Milutin" which will be held at the St. Prohor of Pčinja monastery ­- the king's foundation, on 24th and 25th September 2021.

We welcome contributions in compliance with the following thematic units:

  • Serbia at the time of King Milutin
  • The Holy King and ktetorship
  • Ecclesiastical, cultural and artistic circumstances at the time of King Milutin
  • King Milutin in culture and art

Working languages of the conference are Serbian, Greek, Russian and English.
