Uppsala University seeks a Senior Lecturer in Mediaeval History. The position encompasses teaching history at all levels, examination and research. Teaching duties include developing, planning and heading course work, course responsibility and administration as well as postgraduate supervision. Furthermore, the position entails long-term responsibility for the Department’s education in Mediaeval history, which includes teaching based on Mediaeval primary sources. The successful applicant should be prepared to undertake managerial duties at the department, e.g. as Director of Studies or Head of Department, and is expected to keep abreast of developments in his/her discipline as well as general trends in society as a whole that are of relevance for a member of the university’s faculty.  The position also includes actively applying for external research funding, engaging with the ambient society and participating in administrative work at the department.
