The University of Chichester invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in History (any period from 1100c. - 1800c. open to specialists in social, cultural, or political history, history of ideas, and women's or gender history); the post holder may specialise in any geographical location including Britain, Western or Eastern Europe, America (North or South), Africa or Asia. A post holder may equally define their research by theme rather than geography-culture or as a multiple or single period specialist.

An open mind to be able to engage in public heritage work; and/or digital humanities; or be able to contribute potential inter-disciplinary teaching skills in associated areas of literary and cultural history to potentially contribute general humanities work at level 4, would also be welcome but not essential.
