The Department of Linguistics and Philology, Uppsala University, invites applications for Researcher in Byzantine Studies.

The position involves own research and research-related activities in Byzantine Studies, with placement within the “Text and Narrative in Byzantium” project. Administrative duties within the framework of the project are included, partly in connection with the project’s collaboration with the Byzantine Studies environment in Paris.

Eligible for this position are persons who have completed a doctoral degree or an equivalent degree in the subject area of Byzantine Studies or Greek with a Byzantine specialisation.

Since the project “Text and Narrative in Byzantium is carried out in collaboration with Paris we are particularly interested in persons with a documented knowledge of French.
