There is a vacancy as a research assistant at the Skulpturensammlung und Museum für Byzantinische Kunst of Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin. The research assistant will supervise collection holdings of late antique and Byzantine objects from Asia Minor and early medieval Italian art in the collection of the Museum für Byzantinische Kunst as well as planning of permanent exhibition rooms, special exhibitions, and conferences.

The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Christian archeology, Byzantine art history, or art history with a focus on late antiquity, early Christianity, or Byzantium, have at least two years of professional experience in the described area of responsibility, and experience in designing and organizing exhibitions as well as writing and editing scientific publications.
