The Skulpturensammlung und Museum für Byzantinische Kunst der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin invites applications for a part-time exhibition research assistant. The initial employment period is 6 months.

As part of a joint project of the Skulpturensammlung und Museum für Byzantinische Kunst and the Ägyptischen Museum und Papyrussammlung, the research assistant will be responsible for the planning and preparation of the special exhibition Achmim-Panopolis. 6000 Jahre Geschichte im oberägyptischen Niltal (likely exhibition dates April–August 2021). The tasks to be fulfilled in coordination with the curatorial team include

• editing of the exhibition catalogue
• preparation of exhibition lists and loan negotiations
• research on the antique Achmim
• writing of explanatory texts for the exhibition
• writing of content for exhibition related media
• coordination and monitoring of lending
