The Florida State University Classics Department seeks applications for postdoctoral scholar in Classics/Late Antiquity. The successful candidate will be a specialist in Late Antiquity whose interests intersect with history, social and material culture, or religion. We are keenly interested in scholars with innovative research methodologies, such as digital or visual cultural approaches to Late Antiquity.

Responsibilities of the position include a teaching load of two courses each term (at both graduate and undergraduate levels), engagement with the undergraduate and graduate students, and participation in the research program of the Department.

This position is for one year and renewable for a second year upon satisfactory completion of the assigned job duties.

Applicants must have received PhD after 01/01/2013. The PhD must be in hand by 07/01/2017.
