The ERC project Anatomy in Ancient Greece and Rome: An Interactive Visual and Textual Atlas (ATLOMY) is offering a three-year Post-Doctoral fellowship in Jerusalem to study Greco-Roman anatomy through a novel multidisciplinary perspective and in a team of specialists from different fields (data science, 3D modelling, ancient Greek philology and literature, Arabic literature, history of science, medicine, veterinary).
We are looking for someone with skills in either Ancient Greek or Classical Arabic (skills in both are an advantage) and experience in studying ancient or medieval medical texts.
Fellowship start date: October 1st, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Eligibility: Scholars who have received their Ph.D. after October 1st 2017 or will submit their Ph.D. no later than October 1st 2022 are eligible to apply.
The fellowship will be granted for a maximum of three years (subject to review at the end of each year).
We are based at the Department of Classics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
