Johns Hopkins University's Humanities Institute (HI) and Center for Language and Speech Processing (CLSP) seek to appoint post-doctoral researchers in the nascent Center for Digital Humanities (CDH). Applicants may have primary background in either humanistic or computational disciplines, but should demonstrate a keen interest and aptitude for working at their intersection, particularly in developing/bringing to bear machine learning techniques for traditional scholarship.

Responsibilities will be tailored to the individual, but will allow a majority focus on the applicant's research agenda in the digital humanities while also contributing to the development of the CDH via some mixture of collaboration, teaching, and engineering. Post-docs will be encouraged to engage fully with the HI, CLSP, and broader University communities in ways conducive to their research.

Start date as soon as August 31, 2021.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until positions are filled. Position posted July 25, 2021
