At the University of Vienna Faculty Center of Transdisciplinary Historical and Cultural Studies, the position of a post-doctoral university assistant for the field of "Cultural Heritage" (Supervision: Prof. Dr. Noémie Etienne) is to be filled.

The Center addresses topics related to art and material culture, architecture, history, memory, immaterial and material heritage, landscape, and ecology, including questions about museums, representation, or coloniality and its impact today. Other areas of study may include (but are not limited to) the history of collecting, the restitution of looted art, provenance, display, and conservation. A broad chronological scope is possible, from pre-modern to contemporary times, with no limitation on period or geography.
