Beth Mardutho: The Syriac Institute seeks to create a new editorial team responsible for the on-going production of Hugoye: Journal of Syriac Studies .

Managing a journal requires a significant amount of attention and labor. In discussing the future of the editorial role for the journal as it approaches its 25th year anniversary, the current editors have decided that, instead of relying on a single editor, a more sustainable model would entail the creation of a team of editors who would work together, dividing tasks among them as needed. Ideally, this new team would include 3-4 people.

Hugoye is an open-access publication, and, as such, it produces no revenue. As a result, Hugoye cannot offer any financial compensation to its editors. However, editorial will be compensated with 10 volumes of their choice per year from Gorgias Press.

Scholars at any career stage may apply.
