Responsibilities:

  • Through desk-based research and visits to regional MMN partner Museums around England, analyse data on numismatic displays and collections gathered by the MMN Collections Assessment process.
  • Follow up on data as appropriate with regional partners to expand on information.
  • Prepare a report to a standard suitable for online publication, to be used freely by MMN members and wider audiences to encourage public and academic engagement with numismatic collections, and develop the longer-term sustainability of the Network.

Qualifications:
With a degree in history, archaeology, art history or other subject relevant to numismatics, you will have voluntary or professional experience within the museum sector. You will be a team player with ability to engage positively and confidently with colleagues both in the BM and in partner museums. You will be able to take independent initiative within an agreed brief. You will also be computer literate. Familiarity with numismatics would be helpful, but not essential.
