The School of History invites applications for two part-time Impact and Engagement Project Managers within the International Medieval Congress organisation, each at 2.5 days per week.
The International Medieval Congress seeks to develop strategic thinking and innovative methodologies for embedding public engagement and impact at all stages of the research process for Leeds medievalists. The role of the International Medieval Congress is pivotal for impact activities for medievalists, and the areas of social media and evaluation are critical elements for measuring methods and levels of impact.
The Project Manager’s role will be to develop key areas for the IMC, such as the IMC’s special thematic strand (Food, Feast & Famine in 2016), explore and implement impact and widening participation opportunities for the IMC as well as improving the IMC communication systems (especially social media and publicity).
A small budget allocation will be provided for within the IMC budget, and the project managers are expected to identify and apply for additional sources of funding both from within and beyond the University for these activities.
With other members of School of History’s Impact Team and the CCI Exchange at the University of Leeds, you will work on the development and implementation of policy and practice in research innovation and impact in relation to the fields of medieval studies, helping to develop new methodologies and resources, external contacts and partnerships, grant applications, and impact plans and case studies.
