Les métiers du luxe à Byzance, Musée d’art et d’histoire, Geneva, February 26–27, 2016

In conjunction with the exhibition Byzance en Suisse, the Musée d’art et d’histoire de Genève has organized a conference around the theme of luxury in Byzantium. Topics to be discussed include descriptions of luxury objects in literature and art, diplomatic exchange, regulations surrounding the production of luxury goods, palaces, metalwork, ivory, and silk, and courtly life.
