The University of Cyprus invites applications for one tenure–track academic position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor in the field of Byzantine History, 4th-15th c.

For all academic ranks, an earned Doctorate from a recognized University is required.

The official languages of the University are Greek and Turkish. For the above position knowledge of Greek is necessary. In case the selected candidate does not have sufficient knowledge of the Greek language, it is the candidate’s and the Department’s responsibility to ensure that the candidate acquires sufficient knowledge of the Greek language within 3 years of appointment.

Citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus is not a requirement.
