The University of Glasgow, College of Arts, School of Humanities is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Medieval Transcultural  History (Grade 7 or 8).

The post-holder will contribute research and teaching excellence in the field of Medieval Transcultural History. While the post is open to all applicants with research and teaching experience in this field, expertise in the interaction between the West and the medieval Islamic world, including the crusades, would be especially welcome. In addition to making a substantial contribution to the teaching of relevant pre-Honours courses, the post holder will be expected to devise and teach new Honours modules, and to play a significant role in the teaching and development of a new Postgraduate Qualification in Global History, as well as contributing to the teaching and development of existing Masters programmes. The post-holder must also demonstrate an ability to contribute to at least one of the areas, centres and research clusters within History.
