University of Liverpool Department of History The Department is seeking to appoint an individual to a fixed-term post to cover the teaching and other responsibilities of Dr Robin Whelan who has been awarded a prestigious AHRC Leadership Fellowship (Early Career) for 'The Christian State in Late Antiquity: Officials, Identities and Religious Change, c.400–600 CE'.
You will be expected to have expertise in and experience of teaching Late Antique History, with a preference for religious and cultural history. You will convene and deliver the second-year module HIST260 '“Are you not entertained?” Games and Festivals in the Christian Roman Empire', and participate in team-taught Undergraduate and MA modules. You will also have the opportunity to take part in some UG and MA review essay or dissertation supervision. You must have experience in organising, managing and delivering student projects and small group tutorials. Experience of online delivery of teaching is desirable.
