The program in Art History at Fordham University seeks an Art or Architectural Historian for the position of Lecturer (field open: specializing in any period between ca. 600 and 1800) at Fordham’s Rose Hill campus in the Bronx, AY 2017-18. The Lecturer will teach three courses per term – including an upper-level course “Cultural Encounters: Islam and the West,” in the fall, a survey of medieval art for Honors students in the spring, as well as sections of “Introduction to Art History: Europe,” a survey from antiquity to the present that fulfills the fine arts requirement in Fordham’s core curriculum. The Lecturer also will be expected to contribute to departmental initiatives, including development of digital pedagogies.

This is a one-year sabbatical replacement.
