The Australian National University is building research strength and new and exciting undergraduate and graduate teaching programs in the emerging field of Digital Humanities. This position will add to the existing interdisciplinary strengths of the Centre for Digital Humanities Research, the Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies, the Centre for Art History and Theory, and the Research School of Humanities and the Arts.
The successful applicant will have proven expertise in Digital Humanities and a specialisation in Art History or a related field that will contribute to building and consolidating the Centre for Art History and Theory's profile nationally and internationally. They will demonstrate research excellence and a commitment to developing research projects at the intersection of Digital Humanities and Art History. They will be expected to work collaboratively with academic colleagues at ANU and cross- institutionally and develop networks with cultural institutions in Australia and internationally.
Key responsibilities of the position will be contributing to the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs in the interdisciplinary area of Digital Humanities. The successful applicant will develop a course to be included in the Centre for Digital Humanities Research offerings and will contribute lectures to AHAT’s Art History and Curatorship and Art Theory programs.
