The University of Rhode Island invites applications for a lecturer in Art and Art History.

This position is a full-time non-tenure track, academic year limited to 06-30-2017, with possible renewal.  This position is to start January 2016. Teach Art History courses for both Art and Art History majors as well as General Elective students. Every semester, this position would teach Introduction to Art History lecture courses (Ancient to Medieval) often used as a general elective and an intermediate level art history course (The Art of the Ancient Mediterranean or Medieval Art) which fulfills requirements for ARH and ART majors, but also may be taken as electives. Supervision of ARH Independent Studies and Internships.  Duties also include: Teaching 12 credit hours per semester or the equivalent; advising students; participate in department service activities as they pertain to normal instructional responsibilities.
