Applications are invited for a Fixed Term, Full Time Lectureship in the Department of History of Art, Birkbeck, University of London. We are seeking a specialist in any area of art or architecture from the middle ages to 1700.

You will teach a specialised BA History of Art final year option module of your own devising, related to your area of research. You will also contribute to team taught BA and MA modules, including a block of sessions on the second year undergraduate module 'Art and Society in the Middle Ages and Renaissance'. You will contribute to the supervision of BA and MA dissertations, and will participate appropriately in departmental administration.

You should have a good first degree and ideally have completed or be near to completing a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area. Teaching experience at undergraduate level is highly desirable. Administrative experience and evidence of published research are desirable.

This a 9 months’ fixed term position.
