Keeper of Manuscripts and University Archives, Cambridge University Libraries

Cambridge University Libraries invites applications for the position of Keeper of Manuscripts and University Archives to lead the Department at a time of exciting change. S/he will be responsible for the strategic planning of the Department of Manuscripts and University Archives and for providing leadership in the development of services to support the 21st century student and researcher, in both traditional and digital media.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and outward looking, with excellent organisational and communication skills, relevant management experience, and demonstrable achievement and vision in the promotion and development of manuscript and archival collections and services. S/he should have a good honours degree, research experience in a relevant area and/or a professional qualification in librarianship/archives and records management, together with experience of working with a manuscripts/archives collection in an academic/research library, in a role with significant staff management responsibility.
