The letters of Gregory of Nazianzus (329/330-ca. 390 CE) represent the "earliest author-designated letter collection in Greek," as Storin is right to emphasize (10), so this translation--the first of the whole corpus into English--is a major scholarly achievement that will be welcomed among the fields of Late Antiquity, Early Christian Studies, Patristics, Classics, and Byzantine studies.
