The Department of English Language and Comparative Literature at Koç University invites applications for one or more full-time faculty positions (open rank) in literary and cultural studies, to begin September 2017. We seek candidates with a comparatist research profile in one of the following areas:

• European literature and culture, post-1800; preference will be given to candidates with primary research expertise in German
• Greater Mediterranean literature and culture, period and expertise open.

Junior appointments are at the level of assistant professor and initially for a period of three years with opportunities for renewal and advancement. The teaching load is two courses per semester, and the successful candidate will have an active research agenda and a deep commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and teaching.
