This year six colleges invite applications for eleven Early Career Research Fellowships which will normally be tenable for three years from 1 October 2018.
Early Career Research Fellowships are open to graduates, women and men, of any university who have recently or are about to complete their doctorates. Candidates would normally be expected to have completed no more that 5 years full time equivalent post-doctoral research. Research Fellowships will not normally be awarded to people who have held comparable post-doctoral positions.
Fellowships at Churchill College
One stipendiary Fellowship in the following Arts subjects: Ancient History and Classical Archaeology, Archaeology, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Geography (Arts side), History, History of Art, History of Science and Social Anthropology.
Fellowships at Fitzwilliam College
One stipendiary Research Fellowship in Economics; History and Philosophy of Science; Human, Social and Political Sciences; Land Economy; Law; Philosophy; or History.
Fellowships at Murray Edwards College
One stipendiary Research Fellowship in Arts/Humanities or Mathematics.
Fellowships at Selwyn College
One stipendiary Centenary Research Fellowship, supported by the Isaac Newton Trust, in the following Arts subjects: Anglo-Saxon, Architecture, Classical Literature and Linguistics, Education, English, Linguistics, Modern and Medieval Languages, Music.
Fellowships at St Edmund’s College
One stipendiary Fellowship (The Toby Jackman Newton Trust Research Fellowship), which is open to candidates who will carry out research in any field within the Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences. Applicants should be of postdoctoral level or expect to attain it by 1 October 2018.
