The Council on Library and Information Resources invites applications for Fellowships in Data Curation for Medieval Studies. These two-year fellowships, supported by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, will provide recent Ph.D.s with professional development, education, and training opportunities in data curation for Medieval Studies. The fellows’ work must draw upon their disciplinary expertise in order to help advance data curation practices and services at their host institutions. For this program, the Middle Ages are defined roughly from the fall of Rome in the fifth century to the late fifteenth century, while the geographic focus is the British Isles, the landmass of contemporary Europe, and regions of the Middle East and sections of northeastern Africa.

The CLIR/DLF Postdoctoral Fellowship in Data Curation for Medieval Studies is an expansion of the CLIR Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Academic Libraries. Through these five, fully-funded fellowships CLIR seeks to raise awareness and build capacity for sound data management practice throughout the academy.
