Clare College, University of Cambridge invites applications for two stipendiary Junior Research Fellowships in any arts and humanities discipline which will be tenable for three years from 1 October 2019. The Fellowships are intended for researchers who are in the early stages of their research careers. The College is grateful to the Newby Trust for funding one of the Fellowships. The holder of this Fellowship will be called the Newby Trust Research Fellow. Applicants will automatically be considered for both Fellowships.
Research Fellows are members of the Governing Body and are expected to participate in the governance and social life of the College. Research Fellows may undertake undergraduate teaching during term. Fellows will not be permitted to undertake other paid work or to hold other offices and awards, except by permission of the College Council.
Applications for the Junior Research Fellowships are open to candidates in any arts and humanities discipline. Applications are invited from candidates who have completed less than five years' full-time research, or part-time equivalent, in arts and humanities by 1 October 2019.
