The University of Edinburgh is investing in another cohort of 30 Chancellor’s Fellows across multiple disciplines. These prestigious 5-year awards support highly talented early career researchers from across the world to develop their careers.

Applicants will have begun to establish a reputation for high quality research and will have a commitment to developing skills in teaching and student development at a University level. Colleagues with translational-industrial linkages, international academics and those interested in interdisciplinary collaboration are particularly welcomed.

Fellows will initially concentrate on research and innovation, with a start-up package in support, but will be trained in teaching and student development skills and be expected progressively to take up this core academic activity. It is anticipated that following a successful end of year 3 review the majority of Chancellors Fellows will transition to an open-ended lectureship.
