The British School at Rome is a centre of interdisciplinary research excellence in the Mediterranean supporting the full range of arts, humanities and social sciences.
Applications are invited for two Senior Fellowships in the humanities and social sciences, open to scholars who can demonstrate a need to be in Rome to undertake their research. These Fellowships, which are tenable for three months between October 2018 and June 2019, offer membership of a vibrant multidisciplinary research community, a varied and international events programme, accommodation in our residence, food and 24-hour access to our historic library collection.
These Fellowships are open to established scholars, normally in post in a UK university. In addition to pursuing personal research that will contribute to one of the BSR’s current research themes, the Fellows are expected to take an interest in the work of other award-holders at the BSR, particular those in fields close to their own.
