The Department of Classics & Archaeology and its world-leading research Centre for Spartan and Peloponnesian Studies (CSPS) at the University of Nottingham welcome applications from prospective applicants to the British Academy’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. The British Academy competition is now open, with a deadline for receipt of applications on 12 October 2022. 

Candidates must be within three years of the award of their doctorate, and must be a UK or EEA national, or have completed their doctorate at a UK university.

Proposals will be subject to an internal competition within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Nottingham. Applicants who are successful at this stage will receive specialist support from the University to complete the full application process to the British Academy before the competition deadline on 12 October 2022.
