The Department of Classics at King’s College London is pleased to support applicants in the 2022/2023 round of the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme.

The scheme supports three-year fellowships, from September 2023 onwards. To be eligible, applicants should:

• be a UK or an EEA national or received a doctorate from a UK university, regardless of nationality;
• have had their viva voce between 1st April 2020 and 1st April 2023;
• not have held a permanent academic position.

It is likely that King’s Classics will be able to support only a small number of applications. Working with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Arts and Sciences Research Office at King’s, the Department is therefore operating its own internal application process in August. Those interested in applying are requested to contact a potential mentor within the Department as soon as possible, and before 10th August.
