The Department of History at Texas State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Medieval Europe (c. 500-1500). The successful candidate will be expected to teach the first half of Western Civilization and specialized undergraduate and graduate courses on European medieval history. They will also be expected to develop new undergraduate and graduate courses, direct theses, and participate on graduate committees. Participation in departmental programs, service, and governance is expected. All positions are subject to availability of funds.
    
A Ph.D. in History or Medieval Studies is required by the time of appointment.
