The Department of Art at Wake Forest University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor, to begin July 1, 2020. We seek a teacher-scholar who addresses art or architecture from before 1400, from any cultural or geographical context(s), and who will complement our current teaching areas.

The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in both teaching and research, and will teach a combination of introductory surveys, upper-level lectures, and seminars. We especially welcome candidates who will foster connections to other departments and programs on campus, including our program in Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies.
