Bucknell University’s Department of Art & Art History invites applications for a tenure-track position in Art History beginning in August 2023. We seek an individual trained in the art of the medieval or early modern period whose scholarship addresses intersections between art and science. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Art History by the start of the appointment. The position is a 3/2 teaching load and courses to be taught by the candidate include one of the two surveys of World Art (ARTH 101, ARTH 102), advanced courses in the candidate’s field of specialization as well as interdisciplinary, general education courses that serve the university’s core curriculum.
