The Koç University Research Center for Mediterranean Civilizations (AKMED) will sponsor a post-doctoral researcher in the field of numismatics. The appointee’s primary duty will be to catalog the coins held in the collection of the Suna & İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum, as well as preparing a catalog for future publication. The appointee will also be expected to participate in academic activities organized by AKMED and to assist the curator of a temporary exhibition on numismatics planned for the autumn of 2019. The post is full time, and will begin on February 1, 2019 and continue for 6 months thereafter. The appointee will reside in Antalya.
Candidates who have completed a doctorate in numismatics should have received their degree no earlier than 5 years prior to the date of appointment, and candidates should be no older than 45 years of age. At the time of application, candidates should not be employed at any institution.
