The Ecoles des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales asks for expressions of interest from Master's level students (or students that will attend a Master's course next academic year), PhD students, and post-docs who are interested in attending a proposed 7th Summer School on Byzantine Studies. The course would be held in Thessaloniki, July 3–14, 2016. The EHESS, in association with various Greek Institutions, including the Municipality of Thessaloniki, have organized six previous summer schools.

The proposed theme for the 7th Summer School is “Religion d’Etat, religion pour l’Etat.”

The approximate cost of the course will be 450€, which will cover hotel and meals.

Expressions of interest should be sent as soon as possible to Paolo Odorico, Directeur d’études à l’EHESS.
