The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers over 800 awards in more than 135 countries for U.S. citizens to teach, conduct research and carry out professional projects around the world. College and university faculty, as well as artists and professionals from a wide range of fields are eligible to apply.
Fulbright opportunities range from a few months to a full year. Many awards offer a Flex option which is designed for Scholars who require multiple visits to the host country. This option allows grants to be conducted over short segments, preferably during the fall and/or spring semesters.
Applicants must have U.S. citizenship. Permanent residence is not sufficient. Applicants seeking seeking funding to complete degrees are not eligible.
