St John’s College, University of Cambridge invites applications for up to four Research Fellowships, tenable for up to four years from 1 October 2022. The Fellowships offer an opportunity to carry out independent research in a stimulating and supportive academic environment. Applications will be accepted from a graduate of any university within or outside the United Kingdom. The College welcomes applications from all academic disciplines, and it seeks to elect a diverse community of Research Fellows.
Successful candidates are normally post-doctoral researchers who have been awarded their PhD within the last two years or are graduate students in the latter stages of their research leading to a PhD. Candidates holding a fellowship or other post-doctoral stipend awarded by a Research Council or other similar body may apply.
Research Fellowships are held on condition of residence within the University of Cambridge.
Research Fellows may apply for grants for academic materials, travel expenses, conferences and book allowances and, as appropriate, the cost of extended periods of research outside Cambridge.
