The Deutsches Studienzentrum in Venedig invites applications for two postdoctoral residential fellowships of 6–12 months for the academic year 2019/2020.

Projects should explore the history, culture, and art of Venice using the city's archives and libraries and those in neighboring regions. Preference will be given to projects in the areas of Byzantine Studies, History of Art and Architecture, History of Medicine and Science, Musicology, Literature and Linguistics, Jewish Studies, Medieval and Modern History, and Legal History. Interdisciplinary studies are particularly desirable.
