The Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies will award two post-doctoral fellowships of $30,000 each, for the academic year of 2018-2019. Fellows will conduct their research under the supervision of a senior faculty member from the Zvi Yavetz School of History. They are expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area.
Preference will be given to candidates whose work focuses on various aspects of peasant life throughout the ages. Winners will be required to participate in the School’s “Comparative Peasant Lives” research lab (attend meetings and join in the lab’s research activity). They are also expected to attend the post-doctoral biweekly seminar of the School of History: "Contextualizing the Self: Creating and Recreating the First Person".
Candidates must have received their PhD at an accredited institution of higher learning no earlier than 1 October 2013 and no later than 1 October 2018.
