The Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies will award two post-doctoral fellowships of $30,000 each, for the academic year of 2016-2017, with the possibility of an extension for a second year. One of the fellowships will be awarded to an Israeli citizen and one to a non-Israeli citizen.
Fellows are expected to work in collaboration with a senior faculty member from the Zvi Yavetz School of History and are expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area. Recipients will be expected to participate in the post-doctoral seminar of the School of History. In 2016-2017 the seminar will be dedicated to "Values, Materials and Interests: On Cultural Encounters and Historical Memory.”
To be eligible, candidates must have received their PhD at an accredited institution of higher learning no earlier than 1 October 2011 and no later than 1 October 2016. Holders of PhD degrees from Tel Aviv University are not eligible for this fellowship.
